Johanna Bermúdez-Ruiz has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in filmmaking from Antioch College, Ohio. Johanna has gained national and international acclaim and recognition for her distinguished films. Johanna is a writer, producer, editor, and director of documentaries, films, and music videos. Her award-winning documentaries are: VIEQUES: AN ISLAND FORGING FUTURES, SUGAR PATHWAYS, SPIRIT OF EXPRESSION, BETTER TO BE HUMAN, and FORGOTTEN IN PARADISE. She recently wrote and directed the short romance drama film, SOLÉNE.
