The second section of the two-part documentary explaining the history of the steelpan (steel drum) and its global influence. Where "Panomundo Part 1: The Evolution of the Steelpan" explored the origins of the instrument in Trinidad & Tobago, Part 2 takes the audience on a journey though six countries showcasing the arrival of the steelpan and its importance in each country. The locations highlighted are Canada, Japan, Nigeria, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.

Charysse Tia Harper, was born and raised in Oxnard, California. She has Bachelor’s degrees in Cinema & Television Production and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. She also earned a Master’s in Management & Leadership (May 2009) at Regent’s University London in the United Kingdom.
Charysse is of Trinidadian descent. She has focused on her culture in three of her projects. The award-winning film, The Other Side of Carnival (2010) that looks at the social and economic impact Carnival has on the Trinidad & Tobago society. T&T 50 in Fifteen (2012), a look at important events that have occurred during Trinidad & Tobago’s 50 years of independence. Panomundo, which examines the history of Trinidad & Tobago’s steelpan and its influence around the world.
